Would appreciate feedback, this topic is probably by far the most confusing with no definite answer, anywhere I've searched.I've been tagging a lot of music using the discogs plug-in and have been adding release dates to the tags. Maybe completely off, but I do not know what I need or if it even matters. So I am guessing compatibility wise I should be covered there.īut my question pertains to the i2s on the Pi2AES, does any i2s cable work or what do I choose? These really i2s cables are priced crazy high.ĭoes it even matter? just use regular hdmi? I think I see from my research that it's basically a cat cable with HDMI ends for i2s. My DAC is the topping D70S, I think that unit itself is configurable for i2s input in the settings. I dont get what an i2s cable is, is it a specific cable? I see there are some compatibility issues as well, I do not understand what's what. I may just ditch it all together, even though I am interested in trying it. But now I see a lot of Ropee users.Ĭlick to expand.Nice, so I guess I am covered.Īnyway moving on, I am a bit confused about i2s. Is Moode totally yesterday? When I was first setting up my Pi2AES a lot of people reported it sounding the best, better than Volumio anyways. And it worked fine the first time.īut that was like 4 months ago at least, I would think a bug like that would have been fixed by now. Last time I re flashed the card 3 times and finally someone here advised me that there may be a bug in the current version and to try flashing an older version if I had it, which I did because I never empty my downloads folder. This is the second time this has happened to me when flashing the newest version of Moode. Has anyone here successfully flashed a current version of Moode onto an SD card and had it picked up on their network when plugged into ethernet?

It's only after I name the Pi2AES that it shows up with that name in Fing.

I have to try loading a bunch of generic IP addresses Fing finds until one of them loads Moode. Fing never finds anything called "Moode".
